About AutoNotify
AutoNotify relays notifications from selected Android apps to Android Auto. Users choose which apps’ notifications should be forwarded, allowing alerts from those apps to appear through the car interface. Root access is optional and is used only to make it easier to list apps belonging to other user profiles. Root is not required to monitor notifications from apps in other profiles. Without root, users can add an app manually by entering its identifying information and user profile. AutoNotify is focused on forwarding notifications; the supplied information does not describe message replies or other car controls. This supports notification forwarding from apps in additional user profiles.
