About Bangumi
Bangumi is a third-party mobile client for the Bangumi website, a service for discovering, discussing, and tracking progress through anime, music, Japanese drama, games, visual novels, and related media. The app adapts the service’s pages to a mobile layout and provides tools for managing progress, viewing entry and character details, and following user activity. It also includes discussion forums, user pages, search, rankings, indexes, daily broadcasts, yearly summaries, and labels. Additional features cover seasonal television drama listings, episode-level viewing sources, searches for manga, novels, games, and music, and screenshot previews for drama and games. A small trading game centered on characters is also included. The wide set of content types and community features positions the app as a mobile way to browse the service and maintain personal progress records, rather than a player for the media itself. The app is based on React Native. Some images and resources are served through separately maintained content delivery services, according to the description. The evidence identifies it as a third-party client, so it should not be confused with an official mobile app. It does not explain whether every website page or feature is available in the client.
