About BinClockWidget
BinClockWidget is an Android home-screen clock that shows the time and date as binary values in a six-column by four-row grid. Rows represent hours, minutes, day of month, and month; columns have place values of 32, 16, 8, 4, 2, and 1. Lit dots are added to read each value. The monochrome design uses solid dots on a black background intended to blend with AMOLED displays. The widget uses otherwise unused cells for device status. A battery gauge shows charge percentage and a symbol for charging, low battery, or very low battery, with configurable warning thresholds. The alarm state is also shown. An optional weather glyph can be enabled by entering a weather-server address; it is off by default, and the widget makes no network or location requests until configured. When weather is enabled, coarse location is used to retrieve current conditions and a short forecast. Coordinates are sent only to the configured weather server. Users can choose a public endpoint or a self-hosted compatible service. BinClockWidget is useful for users who enjoy binary time displays and want quick battery and alarm information in the same compact widget. Its weather integration is optional and remains dormant unless enabled.
