About BlackCandy
BlackCandy is an Android app for listening to music from a personal Black Candy server. It provides mobile access to the music library hosted by that server, so users can play their collection from an Android device rather than storing the library only on the phone. The app depends on a Black Candy server that has already been set up. Once the server is available, the mobile app connects to it to access the music library. This makes BlackCandy useful for people who run their own music streaming service and want a companion app for listening while away from the server’s host computer. BlackCandy is focused on remote access to a self-hosted music collection. It is not a standalone streaming service and does not supply a music catalog of its own; the user’s server provides the library and streaming source.
