About Blocker

Blocker is an Android utility for controlling application components, such as activities or services that belong to installed apps. It provides two approaches: the Package Manager method changes a component’s enabled state, while Intent Firewall rules filter attempts to start components. Rules can be exported and imported, and existing backup files from a compatible component-management tool can be converted into firewall rules. The distinction between these methods matters. A component disabled through Package Manager may be enabled again by an app that detects the change, while an Intent Firewall rule prevents the matching intent from starting the component without changing its enabled state. The app can switch between the two control types, allowing users to choose an approach for application rules. Blocker is intended for users who need to manage app components and understand Android’s system-level behavior. Access requirements differ by method: changing other apps’ component states through command-line tools requires root, while firewall configuration is stored in a protected system location. The app provides rule import and export to help manage these settings.
