About BlowTorch 2
BlowTorch 2 is an Android client for MUDs, multiplayer text games accessed through a network connection. Users add a host and port, connect, and play through an interface with command buttons, text suggestions, and a growable input area. The client can stay connected with the screen off, and its notification shows session duration. The app supports telnet and several MUD protocols, ANSI colors, search in scrollback, copy gestures, triggers, aliases, timers, Lua plugins, and additional text windows. It also includes a mapper, speedwalks, configurable buttons, and per-world settings. Some features may need to be enabled. Triggers or timers can read lines aloud. BlowTorch 2 connects only to hosts the user adds and has no ads, analytics, or cloud account. The optional all-files permission is not required for play; imports and exports can use Android’s file picker. Lua plugins run with the app’s privileges, so users should only load plugins they trust.
