About Boardgame Pal
Boardgame Pal is an Android toolbox for tabletop game nights. It can randomly choose a starting player and turn order, split a group into balanced teams, roll configurable dice, flip a coin, or choose a random letter for word games. Dice options include common types such as D4, D6, D8, D10, D12, and D20. A digital scoreboard tracks numeric values for multiple players and can total scores across rounds. A separate life-points counter can track health or other changing values for several players. The app also includes a countdown timer as a substitute for a sand timer. These tools can be used independently, so a group can open only the function needed for a particular game. Boardgame Pal is free to use, has no ads or in-app purchases, and is described as collecting no personal data or requesting unnecessary permissions. It combines random selection, scorekeeping, counters, dice, coin tossing, and timing in one lightweight companion app.
