About BroadBoard

BroadBoard is an Android on-screen keyboard designed for people with low vision. It uses oversized, high-contrast keys and a scrollable layout: rather than shrinking every key to fit, the user pans around the keyboard to reach the needed letters. Keyboard size can be adjusted up to extra large, and several themes include extra-dark and high-visibility options. The keyboard supports multiple locales and layouts, optional haptic feedback, and screen-reader use. It has no internet permission, advertising, analytics, or third-party components, according to its description; typed text remains on the device. BroadBoard must be enabled and selected as the device’s input method before it can be used. Its design trades a compact full layout for larger, more readable keys that the user navigates by panning. It is intended to improve keyboard visibility and accessibility, though individual needs and preferred layouts may vary.
