About Browserpass
Browserpass is a host application for a browser extension that connects the extension to a password store. The host application provides a bridge between the browser extension and stored password data, enabling the extension to access that store. This makes Browserpass part of a browser-based password workflow, where the extension needs a companion component on the computer. Its role is specific to providing that connection; it is not itself described as a general browser or a full password-management suite. Browserpass is listed for Windows. Its central purpose is to let the Browserpass browser extension communicate with the user’s password store through a host application. It serves as the link between the browser and locally available credentials.
