About Calculator M3
Calculator M3 is an Android calculator for evaluating full mathematical expressions with standard operator precedence. Results update as the expression is typed, parentheses can be nested up to 20 levels, and users can tap within an expression to edit it. High-precision decimal arithmetic and engineering notation support a range of everyday and scientific calculations. Scientific functions include square root, pi, exponentiation, factorial for values from 0 to 99, percentage operations, and implicit multiplication such as a number next to pi or a square root. A local history keeps up to 100 calculations across app restarts; entries can be reloaded or the history cleared. Dynamic colors, light and dark themes, haptic feedback, and adaptive layouts support phones, tablets, and foldables. An optional experimental feature can recognize and solve handwritten math from a photo using an on-device vision model. It requires a device with at least 6 GB of RAM and a one-time model download. The model runs locally, and the photo and calculation are not sent to a server. Internet access is used only to download a model when the user opts in. The calculator itself works offline and has no ads, analytics, tracking, or data collection. The app is intended for expression entry and calculation, with the optional image solver extending it to handwritten problems.
