About Calyx - Grow Tracker

Calyx is an offline-first tracker for indoor growing environments, plant schedules, and equipment. It stores plant and tent records locally and includes an offline database of 30,000 strains. When a plant is logged, it can use strain information to estimate a harvest window. Growers can keep chronological photos with the number of days since germination and current growth phase displayed on images. For environmental monitoring, Calyx can read temperature, humidity, and vapor pressure deficit from a Home Assistant setup, control smart outlets, and alert users to light detected during a scheduled dark period. Feeding mixtures can be saved as nutrient recipes and linked to plant actions; low soil-moisture readings can show a watering indicator on the calendar. Users can define custom actions such as pruning or applying nutrients and attach a recipe and volume to the plant history. The app runs on its own with a local database. Home Assistant integration and multi-device sync require additional configuration; synchronization can use a self-hosted backend. Calyx is designed for tracking an indoor grow operation, with hardware readings and automated calculations depending on the data and integrations provided.
