About CC Desktop Switch
CC Desktop Switch is a desktop utility for configuring third-party, Anthropic-compatible model providers in a supported desktop AI client. It lets users set up providers, map available models, and check connectivity and model availability. The software uses a local gateway to handle compatibility and model routing, and only explicitly mapped routes are made available to the client. It can import compatible configurations, supports streaming responses, and offers configurable upstream HTTP or SOCKS proxies. The evidence lists Windows and macOS support and says the application can remain available in the system tray or Dock lifecycle while the gateway is needed. Its purpose is to manage provider configuration through a graphical interface rather than by editing settings manually.
