About ccgt
ccgt is an Android chromatic tuner for guitar and other musical instruments. It listens to the instrument and displays the detected pitch, with the deviation from the nearest correct note shown as a moving histogram and by the color of the note name. The octave can also be displayed. The reference frequency for A4 can be adjusted from 432 to 443 Hz, allowing the tuning reference to be changed. Audio driver and algorithm settings can be customized for the instrument. Some configurations may be too demanding for a phone; if the app does not produce readings, the supplied description recommends using smaller buffer and sample-rate values. ccgt is ad-free, straightforward to use, and requires only a few megabytes of storage. It is a focused tuning tool, with configurable audio processing and a visual indication of how far a note is from the target pitch.
