About Chitralaya CloudGallery App
Chitralaya CloudGallery backs up photos from an Android phone to the user’s own Telegram chat. It acts as a bridge between the phone’s image library and an existing Telegram account, sending photos directly to that account without an intermediate storage server, according to the product description. The app is open source and says it does not track users. The description explains an important privacy limit: Telegram encrypts data in transit, but the uploaded photos are not end-to-end encrypted in the described workflow. This means the app provides a convenient way to store and retrieve photo files through the messaging account, but the photos are not private from the service in the same way as data kept only on a device or protected by end-to-end encryption. Its function is cloud photo backup using a user-controlled chat, with the privacy properties of that storage service applying.
