About Chronal
Chronal is an Android metronome and chromatic tuner for music practice. The metronome can run several synchronized rhythms at once, supporting polyrhythms and layered practice. A notation editor lets users create a rhythm and hear it, while visual beat and subdivision indicators and a fullscreen mode make timing easier to follow. Conductor mode uses a visual path to reinforce the beat, and the microphone can detect BPM from percussion. The tuner supports transposition for different instruments and a user-selected reference frequency. A live graph shows pitch stability, and generated reference tones can be used for tuning by ear. Chronal combines timing, rhythm design, and pitch tools in one app for rehearsal or performance. Chronal is open source and ad-free. Its metronome and tuner provide both visual and audio feedback, with controls for rhythm complexity, tempo detection, tuning reference, and transposition.
