About ClassiPod
ClassiPod is a music player with an interface inspired by the iPod Classic click wheel. It plays local music and can connect to Subsonic-compatible servers, allowing server and local tracks to appear together or local music to be hidden. Users can browse songs, artists, albums, genres, and album artists, search their collection, and create playlists. Ratings and embedded lyrics are shown when available. The app supports many audio formats, depending on platform playback support. Playback controls include seeking, volume, shuffle, repeat, a sleep timer, and background audio with notification controls. Album tracks can retain disc and track order during album shuffle. Metadata and artwork are cached for faster startup, and users can refresh or rebuild the library index, exclude folders, and inspect unreadable tracks. The click wheel and touchscreen can be used to navigate, with cover-flow layouts and light or dark themes. These features combine a distinctive browsing interface with support for both a personal local library and a compatible music server.
