About CleanShare

CleanShare is an Android modification module that changes the system share sheet on compatible devices. It can hide direct-share suggestions, which are app or contact recommendations shown beside share targets, and filter the list of apps that appear. Users can choose specific apps to hide or configure the share sheet to show only selected targets. It can also hide the system’s nearby-sharing feature. An optional function deletes screenshots after they have been shared, but this requires root. A built-in settings app provides the module’s controls. CleanShare is designed for Android 11 or newer on an AOSP-based ROM and requires the LSPosed framework, so it is not a standard app that works on an unmodified phone. The module’s purpose is to make the Android share sheet more predictable and reduce suggested destinations or profiling based on sharing behavior. Users can keep the share targets they want and remove distracting or unwanted entries. CleanShare is useful for people who already run the required framework and want more control over which apps and suggestions appear when sharing content. Its effect is limited to compatible Android system interfaces, and some features depend on root access.
