About CleverKeys
CleverKeys is an Android keyboard with gesture typing, a large clipboard history, and extensive layout customization. Users can type by swiping across keys, including in terminal applications where gesture typing may not work in other keyboards. A custom neural-network engine recognizes swipe patterns locally, without a cloud connection. The keyboard also supports 208 directional shortcuts across its keys, which can be assigned to navigation, editing, or function-key actions. Clipboard history can be configured by item count or storage size, searched, pinned, and retained across device restarts. Users can export and import the history for backup. CleverKeys offers more than 100 layouts, including common regional layouts, programming layouts, and layouts for over 30 languages. A terminal mode provides Ctrl, Meta, and Fn keys, and layout profiles can be imported or exported with their gesture assignments. The app includes built-in themes and a theme editor, with control over key and label colors, borders, and swipe-trail effects. Settings and custom data can be backed up and restored. The product description says processing is local, with no network permission, telemetry, tracking, or cloud synchronization. CleverKeys is intended for people who want a configurable keyboard for everyday typing as well as terminal or developer use, with swipe input and clipboard tools available from the keyboard itself.
