About ClipVault
ClipVault is a clipboard history manager for Android. Its main screen contains a search field and a list of previously copied entries; tapping an entry copies it back to the clipboard and marks it as active without creating a duplicate or changing the history order. A separate settings screen provides controls to pause saving with private mode, set a maximum history size or keep an unlimited history, and clear saved entries. Capturing clipboard changes depends on how the app is installed. One build uses an LSPosed module to observe clipboard writes at the system level; another must be installed as a privileged system app with root access. These are alternative builds selected when the app is compiled, rather than modes that can be switched inside the app. Without an active module or root-based installation, the app cannot capture clipboard activity. The evidence describes support on Android 15 and reports that it should work from Android 13 onward, but also notes user reports of problems on Android 16. Saved clipboard entries remain on the device. The description says the app makes no network requests and includes no analytics or ads. ClipVault is therefore suited to users who need a searchable local record of copied text and who can meet its additional system-level installation requirements. Those requirements make it less like a conventional clipboard utility that can be installed and used immediately.
