About Crash Firefox Intentionally
Crash Firefox Intentionally is a quality-assurance utility for triggering a deliberate browser crash so that the crash-reporting process can be tested. Its purpose is to help a tester verify what happens when a browser process fails, including whether the expected report interface appears. The tool is therefore aimed at testing crash handling, rather than ordinary browsing or diagnosing a naturally occurring fault. Because it intentionally causes an application to stop, it should be used in a controlled test context where unsaved browser work will not be lost. Its test case is narrowly focused: provoke a crash that should start the browser’s reporter. It does not claim to repair browser problems or recover work from an unexpected failure.
