About CubeScope
CubeScope is a Windows workbench for developers of SQL Server Analysis Services Multidimensional cubes. It provides an MDX editor with autocomplete, a results grid, a metadata explorer, and a query profiler that separates Formula Engine and Storage Engine timing using traces and performance statistics. It also supports MDX script browsing, dependency graphs, cache management, and query history. An AI assistant can explain or format queries, suggest optimizations, identify anti-patterns, and generate MDX from natural-language requests. It can use a hosted model endpoint or a local compatible endpoint. CubeScope runs as a self-contained executable and opens a local web interface in the browser. Its scope is specifically SSAS Multidimensional; it does not support Tabular models, Power BI, or DAX. It is intended to help database developers write, understand, measure, and maintain MDX against existing cubes.
