dandelior* is a client for the distributed diaspora* social network. It uses Android’s WebView to display the mobile interface of diaspora* pods and provides access to social features, including browsing tags and aspects, sharing content to and from the app, and opening articles in an in-app browser. Proxy support, including Tor-compatible routing, is available. The app offers dark and AMOLED themes, customization options, and translations in many languages. Multiple accounts can be used on the same device through its companion app with a separate icon and default colors. The app can list diaspora* pods for people looking for a server to join. Because content is shown through the mobile web interface of diaspora* pods, some social-network features may be missing or have bugs in that view. dandelior* is a client for the distributed service rather than an independent social network, and its available experience depends on the selected pod and mobile interface.
