About Debate Timer

Debate Timer is a speech timer for debaters and judges. It can count up or down and supports speeches from three to eight minutes. The display marks protected time in blue and overtime in red, making the current phase easy to see at a glance. Landscape full-screen mode enlarges the text for use while speaking. Tapping the screen starts or stops the timer, and holding while paused resets it. Bells can be configured for the start or end of a speech, a minute before time expires, or disabled. A bell can also be triggered manually or tested from the top bar. Light and dark themes are available. The timing options suit several common debate formats.
