DeLive captures audio playing on a Windows computer and transcribes it into on-screen captions in real time. A floating caption window can be customized for font, color, size, and position, allowing text to remain visible over other applications. The application supports multiple speech-recognition providers and lists support for more than 60 languages. Transcriptions can be exported as plain text or as SRT subtitles with timestamps. A history view helps users return to previous transcription sessions, and the program can run from the system tray. This can be useful for following audio that has no built-in captions or for creating notes from spoken material. Transcription quality depends on the audio and selected recognition service; users should consider consent and content rights before recording or exporting audio from meetings or paid material.
