DevProjex prepares selected source code and project structure as context for AI assistants. It can turn a folder or code project into a consolidated document, with a visual file tree, search, filters, and a live preview so users can choose what to include. The interface estimates token use, helping fit selected material within an assistant’s context limit. Git-aware filtering can narrow the selection to tracked files, staged files, current changes, or a comparison between revisions. Other controls exclude dependencies, caches, and generated build files, and the output can be copied or exported in several structured formats. The application includes controls for masking detected secrets such as keys, tokens, passwords, and connection strings. Users can review and override individual findings, add manual masking, and optionally mask personal data such as email addresses or IP addresses. Code compression can remove method bodies while retaining declarations and structure, and syntax-aware options can strip comments and blank lines. These transformations apply to the prepared output; the source files are described as remaining unchanged. DevProjex provides graphical, terminal, and command-line workflows, as well as an MCP server that can give an AI agent read-only access to selected project material. In a live-context mode, the agent’s accessible working area follows the files selected in the interface. The server can search and retrieve code in parts, and masking remains enabled for this access. The application runs on Windows, Linux, and macOS. Its central purpose is to assemble code context for review or AI-assisted work while giving the user controls over selection and redaction.
