About DhwaniControl
DhwaniControl provides ways to open Android’s native volume panel without using the phone’s physical volume buttons. It is designed for devices whose hardware buttons are damaged or difficult to use. Users can open the panel from a Quick Settings tile, a floating on-screen button, or an edge-swipe gesture. The floating button and gesture can be customized, and the app uses the system’s own volume controls rather than replacing audio settings with a separate volume interface. This makes the app a lightweight access aid for adjusting volume on the device. DhwaniControl is described as open source, with no ads or trackers and minimal permissions. Additional permission requests depend on which access method the user chooses, particularly the floating control or gesture features.
