About DiskInternals Boot CD
DiskInternals Boot CD creates a bootable recovery disc that starts a Windows preinstallation environment with a graphical interface and bundled recovery tools. Users prepare the disc in advance using Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, or Windows Vista setup files, then boot from it if the computer’s normal system cannot start or the hard drive contains damaged or deleted data. The recovery environment provides access to data-recovery utilities without installing a full operating system to the affected disk. This can be useful in a computer emergency where the hard drive is not bootable. The product is designed around older Windows installation media and optical-disc booting, so compatibility depends on the hardware and media available. It provides a prepared rescue environment rather than a live recovery service.
