About dmr
dmr is a standalone application for running and managing local AI models. A single binary includes both the inference service and a command-line interface for starting models, downloading them, listing available models, removing them, and checking running processes. The inference daemon can be launched separately when a local service endpoint is needed. The product does not require Docker Desktop or a running Docker Engine, despite its name. This makes it useful for users who want local model inference without a container runtime dependency. The CLI provides model-management commands, while the daemon handles inference requests. Available models depend on the machine’s hardware and the model packages selected by the user.
