About DNS Toggle
DNS Toggle adds a Quick Settings tile for switching Android Private DNS on or off. Users can define preferred DNS hostnames and switch among them. The app can also disable Private DNS on selected Wi-Fi networks, block a Wi-Fi network from its automatic handling when DNS causes connection problems, or enforce a chosen DNS hostname while a VPN is active. Configurations can be exported and imported as password-encrypted files. The tile can be renamed, and the app icon can be hidden while access remains available through Quick Settings. Location permission is optional and used to identify Wi-Fi network names for filtering; the description says it is not used to track physical location. The app has no ads, tracking, or data collection. Changing Private DNS requires the Android WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS permission. It can be granted through root access, Shizuku, or ADB, so setup requires more than simply installing the app. DNS Toggle is intended for users who want quick or automated control of Private DNS behavior across Wi-Fi and VPN contexts.
