About Doodle: Live Wallpapers
Doodle: Live Wallpapers provides animated home-screen backgrounds based on a collection of colorful designs. It includes wallpapers inspired by a familiar smartphone wallpaper set as well as a separate design influenced by Material You. Users can apply dark mode automatically based on the system theme and customize effects such as parallax, zoom, and animation when tilting the device. The app is designed to avoid continuous animation when it is not needed, with movement effects available as options. It supports parallax when the user changes home screens or tilts the phone, and can start working immediately after a device reboot. Android 12 color extraction and Android 11 zoom effects are supported. A scaling option is available for tablets and larger displays. Doodle is open source, without ads or analytics, and uses a rendering approach described as efficient for less powerful devices. It provides a set of live wallpapers with several customization options, including contrast improvements for light themes. The app is focused on visual customization rather than interactive widgets or a general wallpaper editor.
