About dops
dops is a terminal interface and web interface for browsing and running operational runbooks. A runbook can be selected from a catalog, configured with typed parameters and executed through the tool. Typed inputs help describe the information a procedure expects, while risk levels give users a way to distinguish tasks by their operational impact. Sensitive values can be stored in an encrypted vault. The application also includes an MCP server for connecting runbook operations to compatible AI tools. Together, these functions provide a structured way to make operational procedures discoverable and repeatable, with both terminal-based and browser-based access. dops is intended for teams managing shell-based runbooks who want to parameterize common operations and make their execution available through a controlled interface.
