About DropCount

DropCount is a puzzle game based on dropping numbered discs into a seven-by-seven grid. The goal is to create a row or column containing a number of connected discs that matches the number on a disc; matching discs break, and those breaks can trigger chain reactions for additional points. Players select a column to drop the current disc and must avoid filling the grid to the top. Solid discs add another layer: they crack when an adjacent disc breaks and reveal a number after a second adjacent break. In Normal mode, new rows arrive at an increasingly frequent rate as the game continues. Challenge mode offers fixed drop rates at several difficulty levels, while Sequence mode uses predictable disc generation so players can plan around a known sequence. Each mode keeps its own high score. The game can be paused and resumed, and uses animated disc drops and break effects. DropCount is a recreation of the classic Drop7 style of puzzle and is free and open source, with no ads or in-app purchases. It is suited to short strategic sessions where players balance immediate matches against the risk of raising the grid.
