About Eigent
Eigent is an open-source desktop application for organizing AI-assisted work into spaces, sessions, and tasks. A space groups related work and files; sessions collect related tasks and their history. Users can describe a task for an agent, continue with follow-up work in the same session, and manage agents, skills, and connected tools for a workspace. Eigent can use a chosen model, including local models, and supports custom agent workforces that divide complex tasks among specialized agents working in parallel. It includes human oversight: users approve execution, and the application can request input when a task is uncertain. Scheduled, event-based, and application-triggered automations are supported. The application can connect to tools through MCP and is described as self-hostable with user-provided API keys or local models.
