About EleSync
EleSync is a local-first memory vault that lets multiple AI assistants share persistent project information through the Model Context Protocol. It stores memory as Markdown files in a folder on the user’s machine, which compatible clients can read and update over standard input/output or Streamable HTTP. This provides a shared record that can be accessed by different assistants instead of keeping separate memories in each client. The system tracks provenance across clients, detects conflicts, records superseded information, and supports scoped views for individual clients. It can encrypt data at rest and create encrypted portable vaults for USB storage. EleSync is distributed as a standalone executable that includes both a command-line interface and MCP server, with no Python installation required. Its purpose is to maintain reusable AI context locally while keeping track of where information came from and how it changed.
