About env2op-cli
env2op-cli transfers environment-variable files between a local project and 1Password. Its `env2op` command stores a `.env` file as a Secure Note and generates templates, while `op2env` retrieves secrets through those templates to recreate environment files. Environment files often contain configuration values and secrets used by development projects. Moving them through a password manager can help developers keep secrets in a managed vault while still generating the file format required by local tools. Templates provide a repeatable link between stored values and the resulting `.env` file. env2op-cli is intended for developers who use 1Password to store project secrets and need a command-line workflow to move those values into or out of `.env` files.
