About Epoch

Epoch is a configurable clock and time-reference display that updates every second. It presents conventional date and time information alongside technical standards such as Unix time, International Atomic Time, and GPS time; astronomical values including sidereal time and Julian dates; and alternative systems such as decimal, binary, octal, and hexadecimal time. Values can be copied with a tap or long press. Users can build custom watchlist tabs by combining values from different categories, and can customize the built-in tabs as well. Sections can be reordered, renamed, hidden, or restored, with custom labels, headings, and dividers. Date and time formats and time zones can be configured. Time-zone transitions are shown in advance, including upcoming changes to standard or summer time. Preferences can be exported, imported, or reset. A focus mode turns a selected value into a full-screen always-on display, with adjustable brightness and text color. Details can be toggled, and gentle pixel shifting helps reduce screen burn-in. A red-on-black night mode is designed for use during stargazing, when preserving dark adaptation matters. Epoch is intended for people who need more than a standard wall-clock display, including those comparing time systems or following astronomical time. It can run without network access, ads, notifications, or tracking, and settings are stored locally. Local mean sidereal time can use a manually entered longitude or optional coarse location access. The interface is available in English and German.
