About Exif Thumbnail Adder
Exif Thumbnail Adder searches selected folders for JPEG photos that do not contain an embedded thumbnail and adds one to the file’s EXIF metadata. It can process multiple images in a batch, making it useful when photos appear without previews in file-transfer or import interfaces. Users can choose folders from internal or external storage and exclude a subdirectory. The app can preserve file timestamps, keep a processing log, and skip corrupted files by default. Users can choose to back up originals, replace files in place, or write processed images to another directory. Existing thumbnails can optionally be replaced, and thumbnail rotation can be configured. Backup synchronization can remove items from the backup or work folder when they have been deleted from the source folder. The app requires Android 8 or later and access to selected media or storage. It is intended for repairing JPEG metadata rather than editing image content. The supplied description notes that processing malformed metadata can be enabled, but the safer default is to skip such files; users should keep backups when changing original photos.
