About FeinstaubWidget
FeinstaubWidget is an Android app and widget set for viewing fine particulate matter readings from a network of community air-quality sensors. Users can browse sensor measurements without owning a sensor themselves. The app supports several particulate sensors and related temperature and humidity sensors. Three widgets provide different levels of detail. A small widget shows the latest measurement as text. A larger widget displays current values and charts for particulate matter, temperature, and humidity. Another large widget shows particulate concentrations from sensors near the user. The app itself can present the readings, while widgets keep selected information visible on the home screen. FeinstaubWidget supports Android 4.4 and newer. Its focus is displaying measurements reported by compatible sensors, not operating the sensors or forecasting air quality. The value of nearby readings depends on the coverage and freshness of data in the sensor network.
