About FilePilot
FilePilot is a local application for organizing and archiving cluttered files with AI assistance. It scans selected folders and drafts an organization plan based on filenames, directory structure, and content summaries. The plan can move items into existing folders or propose a new folder structure. Before any file operation runs, users review and confirm the plan. The application checks for risks such as destination conflicts and moves between disks, then records a log and an undo entry so users can review or reverse the most recent operation. Multiple folders can be handled in one task. FilePilot uses an endpoint configured by the user rather than providing its own hosted model. It also includes a workshop for generating and applying custom folder icons, which requires an image-generation model. The confirm-and-review workflow keeps file operations under user control.
