About FirTube
FirTube is an Android browser built around a web view for watching videos on YouTube. It provides background playback, ad blocking and skipping, and an automatic repeat option for videos. Users can set a password for access to the app and can use a data-wipe control. The app presents the video service through an embedded web view rather than a separate native video library. Background playback allows audio to continue when the user switches away from the foreground, while repeat mode can replay a selected video. Ad blocking and skipping are listed as part of the app’s feature set. FirTube is useful for people who want a lightweight way to access online video with background playback and repeat controls. Its functions depend on the web service’s current site behavior and network availability. The supplied description does not specify the password mechanism or what data the wipe function removes, so those details should be checked before relying on them.
