About Fokus Launcher
Fokus Launcher is an Android home-screen replacement designed around a large clock, date, battery status, optional weather, and quick access to favorite apps. The home screen can include a shortcut rail, and taps on the clock, date, or weather can open apps selected in settings. Gestures provide navigation: swipe up for the app drawer, down for notifications, or sideways to launch shortcut targets. The app drawer supports search, user-defined categories, and sorting by name or frequency of use. If a search matches one app, it can launch directly. Apps can be added to the home screen, renamed, hidden, or uninstalled. Dot search extends the search field to web or in-app queries, with configurable shortcuts and URL templates. Fonts, home-screen apps, and shortcut actions can be customized. Weather is optional and cached for 30 minutes; location access can be granted for local forecasts, and no account or API key is required. Work-profile apps appear in the drawer when a work profile is active. On Android 15 and later, the launcher can show and control Private Space apps when that space is unlocked. Optional accessibility features support double-tap screen locking and returning to the launcher after a long lock. Fokus asks for permissions for the features the user enables, including weather, search, notifications, and Private Space access. It is intended for users who want a quieter home screen with configurable gestures and fast app search.
