About Folio: Doc Maker
Folio: Doc Maker turns camera captures or imported photos into PDFs and image files. It can scan a paper document with automatic edge detection or accept pictures from the gallery or another app. Pages can be auto-cropped and straightened, rotated, reordered, duplicated, or deleted. Image adjustments include automatic enhancement, grayscale, and black-and-white modes to make text clearer. The app can target a chosen file-size limit, including common limits for forms and submissions. Folio adjusts the output so a PDF stays under the selected size, and it can also export pages as JPG images. This makes it useful when an application portal or document submission specifies a maximum upload size. Folio works offline and has no internet permission, account, ads, or tracking. Documents stay on the phone during scanning and conversion. It is free and open source, and is focused on producing clean, compact files from paper documents or existing photos.
