About Free Klondike
Free Klondike is a solitaire card game that combines rules from Klondike and FreeCell. Players can choose one-card or three-card draws, and the game offers Easy, Medium, and Hard difficulty settings. It includes hints, undo to the original layout, saved statistics for wins and streaks, a top-ten time board, and automatic game saving so a session can be continued later. The layout keeps all cards in tableau columns visible and provides four cells for temporarily holding cards, as in FreeCell. It also has a draw deck and discard pile, as in Klondike. Only Kings can be moved to empty columns, and cards can be moved in groups when arranged in a valid sequence. Cards can also be taken back from foundation piles to the playing field. The game adds four cards already placed in the cells at the start and limits how many times the deck can be passed through: twice in one-card mode and three times in three-card mode. It uses a compact four-column layout. These changes create a distinct balance between visible-card planning and draw-pile management. Players can choose among card backs and backgrounds, and a win is marked with fireworks and music. Free Klondike is useful for solitaire players who want a familiar card-based puzzle with a mixture of visible-card strategy and draw-deck constraints.
