About Gauguin

Gauguin is a Sudoku-like logic game in which players fill grids using both arithmetic and deduction. In classic mode, a 9-by-9 grid follows row and column rules, while groups of cells called cages must also satisfy a displayed calculation, such as a target sum. The app supports different operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Players can choose grid sizes from 3-by-3 to 11-by-11, including rectangular layouts, and use different number sets such as ordinary digits, primes, or Fibonacci numbers. Operators can be shown or hidden, and difficulty and other rules can be adjusted. Short and long taps distinguish candidate marks from committed values, and a fast-finishing mode can fill cells with a single candidate. Some variants may take a long time to generate, and not all have difficulty ratings.
