About GetBack GPS

GetBack GPS helps users return to a previously saved location. It can determine the device’s current position through GPS, Wi-Fi, or the mobile network, and can update location automatically at intervals or when the device moves. Users may also refresh the position manually, save the current location as a destination, or enter destination coordinates themselves. In “get back” mode, the app points toward the stored destination and shows distance and direction. It also displays speed and bearing, offers a north-pointing compass rose, and uses device sensors to improve how quickly and accurately the bearing is updated. As the user travels, it detects the direction of movement and adjusts the relative direction indicator accordingly. GetBack GPS is a location aid for retracing a route toward a chosen point, rather than turn-by-turn navigation. Its accuracy depends on location signals and device sensors, and users must assess whether the indicated route or destination is safe and accessible. The app is available in many languages.
