About Ghost Commander

Ghost Commander is a dual-panel Android file manager. Two side-by-side panels make it possible to copy or move files between folders without repeatedly navigating back and forth. It can create and extract ZIP archives, and connect to remote locations through FTP, SFTP, or SMB. A built-in application manager can show additional app information and share APK files. The app does not require root for ordinary file management. If root is provided, it can remount filesystems and access system files, so users can perform more advanced operations. This also means changes to system files can affect Android’s operation and should be made carefully. Ghost Commander is intended for local and network file organization. The evidence notes that SFTP server connections using Kerberos authentication may fail on some newer devices. It does not specify support for other archive formats or network protocols beyond those listed.
