About git-sc
git-sc generates commit messages from staged code changes using AI coding-agent command-line tools. It can detect a project’s commit format by looking at recent history, then prepare a message that follows that convention. Users can amend, squash, or reword commits, and can exclude paths from the change set sent for message generation. These options support a workflow from reviewing staged changes to writing or revising a commit message while controlling which files are considered. git-sc automates the drafting step while keeping the resulting commit operation under the user’s control. It can fall back across multiple configured providers if one is unavailable or rate-limited.
