About gitsqlite
gitsqlite provides Git filters for working with SQLite databases stored in a Git project. It uses clean, smudge, and diff filters to convert database content to a text representation for version control and then handle it again in the working copy. This allows changes to an SQLite database to be represented in a way that can be tracked alongside source files. The tool is intended for developers who want database changes included in a Git workflow. Its role is to bridge SQLite files and Git’s text-oriented change tracking through specialized filters, rather than act as a database editor. Git can then show differences between versions of database content.
