About GitWand

GitWand is a native Git client that automatically resolves certain simple merge conflicts using deterministic patterns. Rather than relying on generative guessing, it applies one of ten defined patterns for conflict cases it recognizes. The client supports everyday Git work including reviewing changes and history, managing branches, and reviewing pull requests. The conflict-resolution engine is also available through a command-line interface, a Visual Studio Code extension, and an MCP server for AI agents. These interfaces let users apply the same rules from different parts of a development workflow. GitWand is open source and built with Tauri and Rust. It is intended to reduce manual work on straightforward conflicts while leaving more complex cases for human review.
