About gmail-ro
gmail-ro is a read-only command-line interface for searching and reading Gmail messages. It supports the service’s full search syntax, can display complete message content and entire conversation threads, and can output results as JSON for use in scripts. Its access is restricted to reading: it cannot modify, send, or delete messages. This makes it suitable for workflows that need to inspect or process email without giving the command-line tool write actions. A user can search mail interactively or pass structured output into another script while preserving the read-only boundary. gmail-ro brings email search and review to a terminal without serving as a mail-sending client.
